Mua

Olympia you were absolutely gorgeous this past weekend on your big day!

Ya'll let me tell you the details on this one of once in a lifetime mome

nt. Many of you know I do not do bridal or do photoshoots. I don't travel for many reasons but mainly because I'm a hairstylist & influencer. I service many of my regular clients and I create content for a bunch of different hair and makeup brands from my home. It's extremely difficult to get me from my home studio. This woman right here was so nice I could not resist! Not only was she nice, she was not playing around! Very professional, meticulous and just a great person all around.

When we finally set up her appt, it was just for full glam I thought but nope.. she found her way to my chair and gave me the stare down that said, "YOU ARE DOING MY WEDDING MAKEUP!" case closed! I had no clue she had such a magical day planned though, my jaw is still on the floor. Everything, literally every detail was so beautiful!

This client I took on is exactly why I don't make myself available to everyone for everything. I'm very picky about who I choose to work with in my home, so to get me to actually leave, you really have to be a GEM of a person. This wedding was that magical moment for me in my career. Every skill I've beat myself up about for being so meticulous paid off like never before for my beautiful client Olympia!

I will have more photos I'll be adding to this post in the next few weeks. I worked only with the bride for this wedding which in itself is amazing! The photographers photos were so beautiful I can't wait to share them with y'all including the actual photographers, they were so nice and we worked together so effortlessly to deliver these amazing photos. I can't waitttt! Until then here are the photos I took along with the details of her makeup.

This was our look for reference:

We used this look for the bridal shower appointment and the colors were exactly like this but they looked more natural on her skin tone. Trust it was gorgeous, but for the wedding we wanted more color! Here's the bridal shower look we did which also doubled as the trial:

You can't really see the eyes, I didn't take any photos, this was sent to me from the event that night. However for the dress she wore here, the makeup went perfectly!

Now here's the makeup for the big day:

I took these photos so we can see more eye details! As you can see, we really kicked up the colors but also note the wedding dress was ivory/white vs the bridal shower dress. We wanted the colors much brighter but boy were we nervous lol. Rightfully so, not many brides are willing to take risk like this! The color needed to pop against the wedding dress and her skin. The bridesmaids all had soft glam done by Mone't (here's her Ig) and Olympia's makeup complimented their looks and dresses perfectly! And by the way this was all Olympia's planning! Talk about a woman knowing exactly what she wants and knowing EXACTLY  what looks good on her. These are my absolute favorite women to work with. Ugh, goals right?!?!
When you(clients) bring my work or looks to recreate its much easier to understand and execute.

So here she is in the dress! I will be back with more photos from the photographers when they tag me, until then we will absolutely adore these. Her full wedding makeup details are below:

What a beautiful wedding party!

Brows: Loreal "Brow Stylist Definer" Dark brunette. Anastasia Beverly Hills "Studio Brow Powder Duo" shade Chocolate

Shadows: 1. use a brighter primer/concealer base if you want your brighter colors to pop! I used a mix of Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer in shade Golden mixed with LA Girl Cosmetics "Pro Conceal" in white.

(magenta matte base) Huda Beauty Remastered eyeshadow palette shades Risque & DollFace

(matte purple/lavendar base/crease/lowerlash line)  Karity "21 eyeshadow palette"  shades Alexi & Ego,  BH Cosmetics x Laviedunprince eyeshadow palette collab, I used the purple shade SueÅ„o.

(pink/burgundy shimmery lid) HudaBeauty "ruby obsessions" (the shimmery duo chrome pink in the center)

(orange/golden inner corner) LA Girl Cosmetics "Under the Palms" eyeshadow palette, (second row first shade)

Lashes: Amazon shop

Liner: I created a smokey shadow liner using Maybelline "lashting Drama" gel liner  in blackest black as the base. I set & smudged with the lavender purples from above...

Now for the face details!

Primer used: I actually used the Morphe "Continuous Setting Mist" as a base. Somewhere recently I saw that technique used and it actually worked! Try it.

Foundation used: Dose of Colors "Meet your hue" foundation shades 134 & 132 (yes I used two shades, I live for the mix of two shades one lighter, one darker)

Bake/Setting Powder: Laura Mercier "Translucent Setting Powder" in Deep dark

Foundation Powders used: Mac Cosmetics "Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation" shades NW47, NW50

Blush & Highlighter: Morphe Brushes "8 Deep Glam"

Congratulations Olympia and thanks so much for choosing me to be apart of your big day! I'm looking forward to glamming and catching up again.

Congratulations Olympia and thanks so much for choosing me to be apart of your big day! I'm looking forward to glamming and catching up again.

I hope y'all know I don't ever go to work without full glam! I miss my old Job at Aveda where I would get up every day, super early for full/half face glam ready to conquer my goals. I was tired af & I was only there for 2 months before covid, but I put everythingI had in those two months! I absolutely believe in looking the part.
When I went to cosmetology school this was one rule they told us faithfully: If you are a hairstylist, look like one. If your a makeup artist, show up beat! It does wonders for your mood, your clients mood, and pretty much everyone else around you. One thing I love is knowing that when you see me in my bag, you will see GlamStylistxoxo okurrt! So lets get into this makeup I did for Olympia's big day, I was in a rush, I missed a few steps but the details and links are below.

First lets discuss the hair! My Ripunzel Raw Hair bundles showed up and showed out. Click here for the related post with full details and links on this hair. I love wearing a cute hat for days I'm out and about. I didn't want to worry about what the top of my head was doing with baby hairs, lace melts etc.
Trust me, I laid them down, my part was perfect, and my hair up top was flat flat okay lol. But I really like the inconspicuous, discreet MUA look. I was in full glam but it was clear I was there to work & slay. And when we started it got really hot! I was so happy I had this hat or my wig would've fell off lmao.
Speaking of HOT....
I also kept my outfit low-key, wearing a tracksuit I got off amazon,(size XL for reference), click here for the link. I love my work fits conformed to my body, fully covered too. But let me tell y'all, if your gonna wear this bring a fan! It gets soooooo hot, preparing. We had rooms on multiple floors including the presidential suite, I was running around everywhere and each room was a different temperature. The photographers and I were nervous for the heat as we were preparing for pictures outside however it ended up way cooler with the wind blowing, it was perfect but still note to myself next time: bring a fan!

Brows:  Loreal "Brow Stylist Definer" Dark Brunette, Anastasia Beverly Hills "Studio Brow Powder Duo" in chocolate.

Shadows: HudaBeauty "Remastered" eyeshadow palette shades Sandalwood & Coco (base/crease), shades #blessed, 24k for the lid, and lastly I used the LA Girl Cosmetics "Under the palms" eyeshadow palette shade in the inner corner.

Liner: Nyx Cosmetics "Matte Liquid Liner" in blackest black.

Lips: La GIrl Cosmetics "Precision Lip Liner Pencil" shade chocolate, Anastasia Beverly Hills "Liquid Lipstick" shade Stripped, LA Girl Cosmetics "Dessert Dream" Lipgloss

Lashes: Mikiwi Beauty on Amazon

No primer used I was in a hurry!

Foundation: Dose of Colors "Meet Your Hue" foundation shade 126

Concealer: Loreal "Infallible More Than Concealer" shade Cashew

Contour(cream): Black Opal Beauty "Skin Perfecting Foundation Stick" shade Carob

Bake/Set: Elf Cosmetics "Hd Powder"

Foundation Powder: MAC Cosmetics "Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation" shade Nc47 & Nc45

Contour Powder & Blush: Morphe Brushes "8 Deep Glam"

Highlight: Juvias place "Loose Highlighting/ Shimmering Powder" shade Nefertiti

Setting Sprays: Nyx "Bare With Me Multitasking spray" & "Matte Setting Spray." LA Girl Cosmetics "Shimmering Spray" shade Gold

Whats up y'all!!! I had one hell of a weekend, I went to visit my mom for her surgery in Charlotte, NC. I haven't seen her in so long, I'm embarrassed to say lol. It was one of the best experiences I've had in a longggggg time. My mom, sisters and I have a very unique and crazy bond to say the least! It felt so good to see my sister, she's 19 now omg!! Its the fact she's grown and we were able to talk ALL NIGHT LONGGGGGG about everything for me. It's like I'm seeing my life reincarnated through her, we have so much in common its scary lol.  My mom is doing so well I was pleasantly suprised. I always worry about her so visiting was long overdue and very much needed. I want to thank my husband for making this trip possible, he ALWAYS jumps at the chance to go check on my mother and I could really cry with how appreciative I am! I hate getting too emotional (something I inherited from my mom, that's been passed down to myself and ALL my sisters lol)... but seriously we had a few issues in the beginning (mainly bc he never listens when I tell him to prepare-__-) anyway, we've agreed to "agree to disagree" lmao.

The boys got to see their grandma. Grandma got to see her grand babies. Now my world is complete again! I also brought the glam squad (myself lol) and here's a breakdown of the products I used on myself, mom and my sister!

My mom likes her makeup glam but natural. She is so serious about her brows remaining HER BROWS!
So we went through her makeup and I basically told her to trash everything lol.. I told her to keep one palette that caught my eye but she ended up giving it to me. So here's the palette, I used it on all of us!
Its the Miami palette by Shaina B. The colors are freaking gorgeous,  the shimmers are what caught my eye right away.

Brows Loreal "Brow Stylist Definer" shade brunette, Anastasia "Studio Brow Powder Duo" in soft brown

Eyeshadow Shaina "Miami" Eyeshadow Palette" shades Heat(lid), Cafecito(crease), South Peach(transition), Wynnwood & Haulover Nude (brow bone highlight). Uoma Beauty "Black Magic" eyeshadow palette shade "Black Y'all" (matte black used as a shadow liner)

Liner Maybelline "Lasting Drama" Gel Liner in blackest black (waterline)

Primer Nyx Cosmetics "Marshmellow Root" Smoothing Primer

Foundation Dose of Colors "Meet Your Hue" Foundation shade 123 medium tan

Concealer Loreal Infallible "More Than Concealer" shade Cashew

Contour(cream) Black Opal "True Color Skin Perfecting Stick Foundation" shade Carob

Setting Powder Dermablend "Loose Setting Powder" translucent

Foundation powder Mac Cosmetics "Studio Fix Plus powder" shade Nc45

Contour(powder) ColourPop cosmetics #NoFilter Sheer Pressed Setting Powder "Deep Contour"

Setting Sprays La Girl Cosmetics "Shimmering Spray" in Gold & Morphe Brushes "Continuous Setting Mist"

Lips La Girl Cosmetics "Precision Lip Pencil" in chocolate, MAC Cosmetics Nude Lip Palette

Now moving on to my litter sister's makeup! Tani is all grown up, 19 now sheesh time is flying! Here's the details on her look, she wanted a natural/full glam dramatic liner.

Brows Nyx Cosmetics "Tame & Frame Pomade" shade Brunette. Anastasia Beverly Hills "Studio Brow Powder Duo" in soft brown.

Eyes Shaina B. "Miami" eyeshadow palette shades Cafecito, Heat, Haulover Nudes

The Liner is to die for omg!!! I started this off with a soft shadow liner using Uoma Beauty "Black Magic" eyeshadow palette shade Black Y'all, its a black matte shadow. I layered on Maybelline "Lasting Drama" in gel liner.

Lip Liner La Girl Precision Lip liner Pencil in shade Chocolate

Lipstick Mac Cosmetics Lip Palette

Foundation Dose of Colors "Meet Your Hue" foundation shade 123 medium tan

Concealer Loreal "Infallible More Than Concealer" shade Cashew

This past weekend I put my skills to the test! Here is prom girl Brii. When I asked her to send me a picture for inspiration here's what she sent:

My client's dress was emerald green & gold. She requested a tone down on the liner which I definitely agreed was a good idea and here's what I came up with:

                                                                              Eyes First

The first pic is without flash and the second is with flash. We both agreed on toning down the bottom liner. I think if your out in public taking pictures there should be some softer elements to the look. The Inso look I believe she took these pics in her home with controlled lighting. I loved how this turned out!! I really challenged my skills for this one to see if I could execute properly. The 25 year old me would've been terrified to try these type of looks on any client. Now at 30, I try not to limit myself anymore with my craft and here I'm very impressed with my growth. Below are the details of this look along with details from the makeup I wore this day. Have a great week everyone.
