Olympia you were absolutely gorgeous this past weekend on your big day!

Ya'll let me tell you the details on this one of once in a lifetime mome

nt. Many of you know I do not do bridal or do photoshoots. I don't travel for many reasons but mainly because I'm a hairstylist & influencer. I service many of my regular clients and I create content for a bunch of different hair and makeup brands from my home. It's extremely difficult to get me from my home studio. This woman right here was so nice I could not resist! Not only was she nice, she was not playing around! Very professional, meticulous and just a great person all around.

When we finally set up her appt, it was just for full glam I thought but nope.. she found her way to my chair and gave me the stare down that said, "YOU ARE DOING MY WEDDING MAKEUP!" case closed! I had no clue she had such a magical day planned though, my jaw is still on the floor. Everything, literally every detail was so beautiful!

This client I took on is exactly why I don't make myself available to everyone for everything. I'm very picky about who I choose to work with in my home, so to get me to actually leave, you really have to be a GEM of a person. This wedding was that magical moment for me in my career. Every skill I've beat myself up about for being so meticulous paid off like never before for my beautiful client Olympia!

I will have more photos I'll be adding to this post in the next few weeks. I worked only with the bride for this wedding which in itself is amazing! The photographers photos were so beautiful I can't wait to share them with y'all including the actual photographers, they were so nice and we worked together so effortlessly to deliver these amazing photos. I can't waitttt! Until then here are the photos I took along with the details of her makeup.

This was our look for reference:

We used this look for the bridal shower appointment and the colors were exactly like this but they looked more natural on her skin tone. Trust it was gorgeous, but for the wedding we wanted more color! Here's the bridal shower look we did which also doubled as the trial:

You can't really see the eyes, I didn't take any photos, this was sent to me from the event that night. However for the dress she wore here, the makeup went perfectly!

Now here's the makeup for the big day:

I took these photos so we can see more eye details! As you can see, we really kicked up the colors but also note the wedding dress was ivory/white vs the bridal shower dress. We wanted the colors much brighter but boy were we nervous lol. Rightfully so, not many brides are willing to take risk like this! The color needed to pop against the wedding dress and her skin. The bridesmaids all had soft glam done by Mone't (here's her Ig) and Olympia's makeup complimented their looks and dresses perfectly! And by the way this was all Olympia's planning! Talk about a woman knowing exactly what she wants and knowing EXACTLY  what looks good on her. These are my absolute favorite women to work with. Ugh, goals right?!?!
When you(clients) bring my work or looks to recreate its much easier to understand and execute.

So here she is in the dress! I will be back with more photos from the photographers when they tag me, until then we will absolutely adore these. Her full wedding makeup details are below:

What a beautiful wedding party!

Brows: Loreal "Brow Stylist Definer" Dark brunette. Anastasia Beverly Hills "Studio Brow Powder Duo" shade Chocolate

Shadows: 1. use a brighter primer/concealer base if you want your brighter colors to pop! I used a mix of Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer in shade Golden mixed with LA Girl Cosmetics "Pro Conceal" in white.

(magenta matte base) Huda Beauty Remastered eyeshadow palette shades Risque & DollFace

(matte purple/lavendar base/crease/lowerlash line)  Karity "21 eyeshadow palette"  shades Alexi & Ego,  BH Cosmetics x Laviedunprince eyeshadow palette collab, I used the purple shade SueÅ„o.

(pink/burgundy shimmery lid) HudaBeauty "ruby obsessions" (the shimmery duo chrome pink in the center)

(orange/golden inner corner) LA Girl Cosmetics "Under the Palms" eyeshadow palette, (second row first shade)

Lashes: Amazon shop

Liner: I created a smokey shadow liner using Maybelline "lashting Drama" gel liner  in blackest black as the base. I set & smudged with the lavender purples from above...

Now for the face details!

Primer used: I actually used the Morphe "Continuous Setting Mist" as a base. Somewhere recently I saw that technique used and it actually worked! Try it.

Foundation used: Dose of Colors "Meet your hue" foundation shades 134 & 132 (yes I used two shades, I live for the mix of two shades one lighter, one darker)

Bake/Setting Powder: Laura Mercier "Translucent Setting Powder" in Deep dark

Foundation Powders used: Mac Cosmetics "Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation" shades NW47, NW50

Blush & Highlighter: Morphe Brushes "8 Deep Glam"

Congratulations Olympia and thanks so much for choosing me to be apart of your big day! I'm looking forward to glamming and catching up again.

A few weeks ago I decided to do a photo shoot in my living room! These are always so much fun. I saw a reel on "Multiple ways to style a hoodie" from @vivacious.honey on instagram and I instantly knew where to look.

Updated foundation routine + Easy Fall eyeshadow details!

A few weeks ago I decided to do a photo shoot in my living room! These are always so much fun. I saw a reel on "Multiple ways to style a hoodie" from @vivacious.honey on instagram and I instantly knew where to look.

Hey yall!!! Thanks for stopping by, in this post I wanted to give you all last weeks makeup deatils for this smokey fall inspired look. I finished editing my tutorial for my channel and it will be up early this week.

I wanted to also share some behind the scene details here also. Starting with (if you even noticed) the hospital bracelet on my arm in the video! Yall I had to go to the emergency room for what I thought was pelvic pain, but turned out to be effects from severe dehydration. If you know me, you know I stay so busy but I never stopped to think I wasn't giving myself enough fluids. It was very scary to go through something like that. Not only have I not been taking any fluids (water mainly), I also started taking bloating pills right before all this began, including right before I landed in the hospital. My blood pressure was high, which was very alarming for me because I've NEVER had high blood pressure. Many members of my family have this including my husband, but I was not prepared for me. I've also been addicted to caffeine for a few years, it was only a matter of time before my body couldn't take anymore. I was clearly just buying time.

I wake up everyday just so grateful! Ya'll if you haven't already start that workout and drink your water!!! I'm not talking a lil sip or one glass either. Drink drink drink Up!!! I've been trying to drink as much as 100oz+ a day! Yes a day! I can't tell you how much better I feel just by that alone! If water sucks for you, add some crystal light (Do they still make that? I'm old now idk). Oh and start some yoga for strectching, your body will thankyou!! Once I see more results, i'll maybe share more tips here. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk!

First, let's begin with some backstory to this hair! I originally made this unit last year with bangs in all black. Reference here:

I replaced the frontal a few months ago and since then I've been determined to give this unit a entirely new look. I invested in a new hair bleach system; details on my hair page @houseofglam_xo) and after weeks of working on my taxes, clients, etc., I finally went for it.
I'm used to spending all day on multiple projects but this one was different. I was very nervous to try this hair color despite hearing so many amazing things about it! To keep it real yall, I’ve just been using the wrong hair color for far too long. I had to shake off that fear and remember I've planned this down to a T for MONTHS!!
Anyway, i'm pleased to say the results were fabulous! All I could think of was how soft my hair was. I'm planning to do a double process very soon on this also.  This experience taught me that sometimes it’s not you it’s the tools.

I hope you all had a great Labor Day last week. It's the unofficial-official kick off of fall looks. I can't tell you how excited I am to finally have my kids back in school omg.

"Back-to-School" has its own headaches I could go on about but I'm excited to get them off to school just to have the house all quiet to myself ayeeeeee!! My youngest boy Seven(whos turning 7 this year) is forever pressed about his mommy when he's away, he asked me yesterday what I was doing here while he's at school and I told him I had a dance party with his toys! LOL

Anyway, I'm super excited to share this new makeup brand with you guys. Ashley Joy Cosmetics were so kind to reach out and send me some of their gorgeous palettes.
I did a look with 'Goal Digger palette' first and created this gorgeous fall cranberry smokey look. I didn't get a chance yet to film, this was just a test look. I love how it turned out so much I have to film a tutorial. The matte pigments in the 'Goal Digger' palette is so rich, smooth and creamy! I didn't know what to expect, I've never worked with Pressed glitters before. They make me nervous for some reasonThe glitters are super soft to touch and pick up smoothly on your fingers or with your brush.

I did a second look with the 'Dazzle Mermaid palette and I was very impressed with how many different finishes of glitter you get. It's quite a nice mix of metallic, holographic and iridescent glitters. They are very soft so you have to be careful not to dig in too hard.

The look I went for was a teal blue cut crease and this one I did film. You can watch the full tutorial here. I used a brush and Nyx Cosmetics Glitter Glue to apply these glitters instead of using my fingers. Which I find if you do use your fingers for any glitters or metallic shadow, they tend to apply much smoother.

Another fun fact: I did this look twice actually, first was without wing liner and the second with. The first time I captured some great pics but horrible video and the second time I had great video, but crappy up close shots. I've been recovering from a cold so its been a struggle. To keep it all the way real, I HATE being sick -__-  it slows me down so much and I'm already at dinosaur pace daily.

I'll be back with plenty more looks with these palettes and this brand. If you would like to see more of Ashley Joy Cosmetics click here

If your here for the full glam breakdown of all products I used and where to purchase, keep reading.
